W.I.R.E.D. Student Ministries - Walking In Righteousness Every Day

This is the youth group for our 7th-12th grade students.  Want to find some Christian friends who are friendly, fun and interested in the same things you are?  Then visit some of the W.I.R.E.D. Student Ministries and you'll find just that and a whole lot more.  Check out our web-site at www.wiredstudents.org for even more information.

W.I.R.E.D. Sunday School - We meet every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. for a Bible lesson that is relevant for today's teens and some powerful praise and worship music.  This is a place where you will find lots of other teens that are going through the same things as you are in life.  We have separate classes during this time.  The 7th and 8th grade class is taught by Ty and Sharon Campbell and the 9th -  12th grade class is taught by Mike & Kathy Purdon.

WN@G - Also called Wednesday Night At The Garage.  This is a time for Bible study, great music, food, fellowship and fun.  You may find us playing some basketball, volleyball or ping pong, or showing off our expertise at the latest video games.  And don't forget the air hockey, foosball and even a game of football now and then.

BRIGHT Lights - Being Radiant In Godliness, Holiness and Testimony - This is a teen girls discipleship group that meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month at 7:00 p.m.  Our mission is to teach teenage girls that they CAN be a bright light for Christ during their teenage years.  They don't have to follow the ways of the world and rebel.  In this group you'll experience a teen-relevant Bible lesson, many times with open discussion, prayer focused on the individual girls' needs, guitar-led music and an occasional service-oriented project.

Activities - We love activities, and we have lots of them.  This gives us a chance to invite our friends from school and work to a youth-oriented outing without the pressures of coming to an actual church service at first.  While this list doesn't include everything, it lists some of our favorites:

  • FUELCamp - Filling Up Every Life.  This is held in June right after school dismisses for the summer.  This is a five-day overnight camp held at Camp Chautauqua, a state-of-the-art campus in Miamisburg, Ohio.  This is a great time to get away from the world for a week and work on your relationship with Christ, or maybe even find a personal relationship with Him.  There's also lots of awesome activities going on all day long.  We have everything from paintball, basketball and swimming to singing and preaching competitions. The newly remodeled cabins are air-conditioned, and the bowling alley, that's right, we said bowling alley, is air-conditioned too.  There are even two diners where you can stock up on greasy grub in between meals.  Check out the web-site at www.fuelcamp.org for more information.
  • Laser Tag - This is an activity we usually have in the spring.  It's an all-night activitiy.  We start off at the church for a youth rally, with wacky games and prizes, great praise and worship songs and an out-of-this-world teen speaker.  Then we spend the whole night playing laser tag and other games at a Cincinnati area laser tag facility.  We have several different all night activities throughout the year at other places like the YMCA or a rock climbing facility.
  • Kings Island Trip - Want to spin around upside down several times in a row, or drop at break-neck speeds toward the ground?  Then this trip to Kings Island amusement park is for you.  This is held during summer break and is a great time for the fearless teens of Bible Baptist Church.
  • Friday Night Fusion - Want to get together and hang out with your friends?  Eat some junk food?  Play some games?  That's what Friday Night Fusion is all about.  This is just a time to hang out and have fun.  These are held periodically throughout the year.
  • Service Projects - That's really what the Christian life is about isn't it?  Well, sometimes we take trips to the local nursing homes and the homeless shelter to visit with the people, take them gifts, sing to them or serve them a meal.  We also find areas around the church where we can serve.
